KelliJean had to work on Mother's Day, so we decided to have a Saturday Mother's Day and drove into Spokane to have dinner at Cyrus O'Leary's which is our family's favorite restaurant in Spokane, I think it is largely due to the pie variety. After dinner, we took a family walk through Riverfront Park & the Spokane Falls.
During which KelliJean was able to impart her recent knowledge of Spokane history from her classes. The best part was the Garbage Goat, designed by a nun for the 1974 Expo, as a recycling/environment statement (the fairs theme in 1974). The sculpture will eat small pieces of trash with its vacuum digestive system.
